Is there anything bad about Cavis's? The food is your classic diner fare. It's been open since 1960, and is now run by the son of the original owner. If you haven't been here in a few years, though, be prepared - the food is not just burgers and fries anymore. Nick Cavis brings his "A" game, and it's time you see how old school meets new at his place. Try this - how about Eggs Da Vinci, eggs Benedict with a healthy twist using homemade bruschetta instead of hollandaise. Or the Chorizo Omelet, with a great concoction if several mixed cheeses, jalapeños and Mexican spices. I've even seen people have the Greek- American favorite Saganaki for Breakfast here! In a lunch or dinner mood? Check them out. Greek Night every 2nd Tuesday brings Mrs. Cavis's traditional Greek homemade recipes out, including Moussaka, Grape Leaves and the Trio, including Hummus, Bruschetta and Homemade Tzasiki. My favorite place in the PoHo, hands down!

So, the BF and I went to Port Huron for a Quick Weekend Get Away always having driven thru but not stayed or stopped in really. Cavis Grill had decent reviews on Yelp, but the winner was the picture of Pumpkin Pancakes. That automatically meant we had to go. The location was RIGHT by the water. The building, small, really small, and parking minimal. It's seat yourself, and the waitress will find you. I got a Chorizo Omelette with a.20 cent upgrade to Sourdough toast, and Home fries. The BF got an Omelette (I forget what kind) with wheat and home fries and we shared an order of the Pumpkin Pancakes. They offered fruit and tomato slices as alternatives to hash browns as well, and if i hadn't been splurging with all the carbs, i would have definitely put that to use. Everything was fast, inexpensive, and good quality. I would definitely visit again.

What can you say, it is a neat little diner that has serious heritage in the area. Service was incredible, price was low, food was hot and good, and the menu was adequate. Did I mention the service was great? It was. Parking was ample, bathroom was clean, the place was your typical diner, with superb service.

Good food, good service, good staff. A Port Huron fixture that I hope remains for a long, long time!

I love going here with my family! The food is great-- what I've eaten I have liked-- and my son was introduced to fish and chips here. He kept wanting "another bite" ... He had to get his own the next time. There are some great Greek items on the menu---the spanakopita (spinach pie) is on par with what I make at home. The servings fill you up and the service is great! I would live to see the tiles on the floor replaced with a classic checkerboard design. I love that all the original furniture is still used, letting new customers make their own new memories. Great little place!

Excellent food, good service and low prices. A little outdated inside but that actually makes it better. You can't go wrong with the club sandwich!

Good food, quick service, classic diner feel. Family owned for over 50 years. Open for breakfast & lunch 7 days a week; dinner served M-F.

Nice little diner in downtown. For what it is, it gets 5 stars. No, this is not a 5-star steak house, it is a great little diner. Warm and homey, the waitresses are the best!

We had the Perch and the Tuna Gone Wild sandwich, and both were really good. Cooked perfectly. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere. All around great lunch experience.

Although I'm now 34 years of age, I remember with crystal clarity being a little girl of 7, still small enough for a booster seat, asking for a grilled cheese at Cavis Grill. Has it always been a greasy spoon? Yes. But it's the best damn greasy spoon in Port Huron. The service is fast, the decor is avant garde, and were you to drop Cavis' down in the heart of Austin's artistic community, or not far from a rat rodder's paradise in So-Cal, it would immediately be a beacon of retro-cool. It's rocky billy awesomeness, co-mingled with its tasty, cheap traditional American fare make it a destination for me every time I visit. Keep the light on for me, Cavis. I'm coming home!

I've been going here my entire life. My mom started going here in High School. It's not going to be anything gourmet but it's delicious, simple food. Mrs. Cavis makes the rice pudding every single day. Also, the baklava she makes is awesome!

Cavis Grill has been a Port Huron select food establishment since 1960. The service is first rate. The menu is that of aclassic diner with a Greek twist.

This place was built over 50 years ago and it looks every minute of it. But the staff was fast and friendly. Open for breakfast and lunch only, the menu is pretty much straight diner fare. However they do feature some breakfast specials that are a little more adventurous than I would have anticipated e.g. crab omelet. My girlfriend (who is veg) enjoyed the pancakes and eggs. I liked my western omelet. Breakfast will set you back less than $10/ person incl. tax and tip. Serves coke products. Accepts major credit cards.

Very limited vegetarian selection, but no vegetarian would choose to eat here. If you want a homemade grilled burger this is the place.
